Don’t wanna turn the lights out

cause then I’ll fall asleep

and forget I’m not alone anymore

I need you to remind me 

you’ll always be here to keep me safe

It’s sort of funny but

when I ask you that,

you tell me I protect myself.

I love you for that

for seeing me as that person

the person I want to be

who doesn’t need anyone

but tries to love everyone.
